DX51D/ SGCC Galvanized Coil Description
DX51D (according to European standard EN 10346) and its equivalent SGCC (according to Japanese standard JIS G 3302) are grades of hot-dip galvanized steel coil designed for cold forming applications.
The product consists of a low-carbon steel substrate that provides good ductility and formability, coated with a layer of zinc through the hot-dip process. This zinc coating offers excellent sacrificial corrosion protection to the underlying steel.
Common coating designations include Z100, Z120, Z150, Z180, Z200, and Z275, where the number indicates the total coating mass in grams per square meter on both sides (e.g., Z180 means 180 g/m² total).
Scope of Application
Construction: roofing, wall cladding, purlins, light gauge steel framing, ductwork.
Appliances: interior and exterior panels for refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, and HVAC units.
General Manufacturing: electrical enclosures, cabinets, shelves, and agricultural equipment.
Automotive: non-structural interior parts, truck body panels.
Scope of Application
