DX53D/SGCD2/SGCD3 Galvanized Coil Description
DX53D (according to European standard EN 10346) and its equivalents SGCD2/SGCD3 (according to Japanese standard JIS G 3302) represent the highest grades of formability in hot-dip galvanized steel coils.
Specifically designed for severe and complex cold forming operations, such as deep drawing, stretch forming, and intricate stamping, these grades feature:
Exceptionally low yield strength and high elongation.
Excellent plastic strain ratio (r-value) and strain hardening exponent (n-value) for uniform deformation.
A consistent microstructure, typically from an aluminum-killed steel substrate, to prevent yielding issues during forming.
The zinc coating provides reliable sacrificial corrosion protection while maintaining the substrate's superior forming characteristics.

Automotive Deep-Drawn Parts: Fuel tanks, oil pans, complex structural brackets, and inner door panels.
